DE COMERCIO EXTERIOR\n\nConsiderando:\n\nI.-Que la\nAsamblea Legislativa de la República de Costa Rica, mediante Ley N° 10520 del\n13 de septiembre de 2024, aprobó el \"Protocolo de Enmienda del Acuerdo\nde Marrakech por el que se establece la Organización Mundial del Comercio,\nhecho en Ginebra el 17 de junio de 2022 y su Anexo: Acuerdo sobre Subvenciones\na la Pesca\".\n\nII.-Que la\nConstitución Política señala en el artículo 140 inciso 10), que corresponde al\nPresidente y al respectivo Ministro de Gobierno, celebrar convenios, tratados\npúblicos y concordatos, promulgarlos y ejecutarlos una vez aprobados por la\nAsamblea Legislativa.\n\nIII.-Que el\nartículo 2 incisos a), b) y g) de la Ley N° 7638 del 30 de octubre de 1996, Ley\nde Creación del Ministerio de Comercio Exterior y de la Promotora del Comercio\nExterior de Costa Rica, confiere al Ministerio de Comercio Exterior las\npotestades de definir y dirigir la política comercial externa, suscribir\ntratados y convenios en materia comercial y de inversión, así como dictar las\npolíticas referentes a exportaciones e inversiones.   "body_en_text": "in the entirety of the text\n\n                    -\n\n                        Complete Text of Norm 44688\n\n                        Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Marrakech Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization, Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies\n\nN° 44688-COMEX\n\nTHE PRESIDENT OF THE\nREPUBLIC\n\nAND THE ACTING MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE\n\nConsidering:\n\nI.—That the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Costa Rica, through Ley N° 10520 of September 13, 2024, approved the \"Protocol Amending the Marrakech Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization, done at Geneva on June 17, 2022 and its Annex: Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies.\"\n\nII.—That the Political Constitution provides in article 140, subsection 10), that it is the responsibility of the President and the respective Government Minister to conclude public conventions, treaties, and concordats, to enact them, and to execute them once approved by the Legislative Assembly.\n\nIII.—That article 2, subsections a), b), and g) of Ley N° 7638 of October 30, 1996, Ley de Creación del Ministerio de Comercio Exterior y de la Promotora del Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica, confers upon the Ministry of Foreign Trade the powers to define and direct foreign trade policy, to sign treaties and agreements on trade and investment matters, and to issue policies regarding exports and investments.
