Por tanto,\n\nDecretan:\n\nRegulaciones para la Caza Menor y Mayor y Pesca Continental e\nInsular.\n\nCAPÍTULO I\n\nProhibiciones\n\nArtículo 1°—Derogado por el artículo 26 del\nDecreto Ejecutivo N° 29148 de 13 de noviembre del 2000.\n\nArtículo 2°—Durante el período comprendido entre el día\nprimero de agosto y el día treinta y uno de diciembre del año 2000 (ambas fechas\ninclusive) queda prohibida la caza mayor y menor de todas las especies con poblaciones\nreducidas o en peligro de extinción con excepción de lo que disponga técnicamente el\nSistema Nacional de Areas de Conservación (SINAC).\n\nArtículo 3º—Durante el período comprendido\nentre el día primero de agosto y el día treinta y uno de diciembre del año 2000 (ambas\nfechas inclusive) queda prohibido:\n\na) \"Calentar\" aves silvestres en jaulas con trampas o jaulas\n cogedoras durante la temporada no autorizada para la caza.\n\nb) La caza de aves silvestres con luz artificial durante la noche, al\n igual que la captura de aves con pegamentos y redes de niebla.\n\nc) Trasladar aves sin permiso del SINAC.\n\nd) La caza de aves canoras y de plumaje en la zona comprendida un\n kilometro en ambas márgenes del Río Virilla en la zona comprendida entre el puente sobre\n el Río Virilla en la autopista General Cañas y el Puente de Piedras Negras en la\n Carretera que comunica Puriscal con Turrúcares de Alajuela.\n\ne) La caza de todas las especies de aves silvestres residentes y\n migratorias en todo el territorio nacional, con excepción de las que se indique en el\n presente decreto ejecutivo.\n\nCAPÍTULO II\n\nGeneralidades sobre la caza\n\nArtículo 4°—Se autoriza la caza de subsistencia para las\npersonas de origen indígena que habitan en Reservas Indígenas del país, siempre y\ncuando cuenten con el respectivo permiso del SINAC.\n\nArtículo 5º—Durante el período comprendido entre el día\nprimero de agosto y el día treinta y uno de diciembre del año 2000 (ambas fechas\ninclusive) queda prohibida la caza o captura de las especies que no aparezcan contempladas\nen las listas de especies autorizadas para la caza.\n\nArtículo 6°—Tratándose de fincas privadas, los cazadores\ndeberán obtener el correspondiente permiso del propietario, de conformidad con lo\nestablecido en el artículo 32 de la Ley de Conservación de la Vida Silvestre.\n\nArtículo 7º—Se define como \"límite de piezas\" el\nmáximo número de animales de caza autorizada en el presente decreto. El límite de\npiezas podrá ser acumulativo por días de caza en el caso de palomas siempre y cuando el\ncazador reporte el número de piezas cazado por día, en la Delegación de la Guardia de\nAsistencia Rural (GAR) o en la oficina del SINAC más cercana a la zona de caza visitada.\n\nArtículo 8º—Las Areas de Conservación del\nSistema Nacional de Áreas de Conservación (SINAC) podrán autorizar la realización de\ntorneos de caza, mediante resolución administrativa, solo cuando se trate de:\n\na) Rastreo de huellas preparadas para los efectos del torneo en un día\n determinado; para lo cual no se autoriza el acoso, maltrato o muerte de animales\n silvestres.\n\nb) Actividades de caza mayor y menor en fincas cinegéticas inscritas\n ante el SINAC.\n\nc) Captura de aves canoras en fechas autorizadas para la caza.\n\nEn estos casos, los participantes deberán portar y mostrar la\ncorrespondiente licencia de caza vigente.\n\nLos torneos de caza deberán ser fiscalizados por funcionarios del\nSINAC en cada Área de Conservación.\n\nCAPÍTULO III\n\nCaza menor con arma de fuego\n\nArtículo 9°—Podrán cazarse con arma de fuego\nen tiempo no vedado las siguientes especies de aves de caza menor, en un horario de 6,00\na.m. a 5,00 p.m., durante los días sábado, domingo y feriados por ley con un límite\nmáximo de piezas de:\n\na) Colinus leucopogon: codorniz común; 10 piezas por día en\n todo el territorio nacional, excepto Áreas Protegidas, en el período comprendido entre\n el 1 de setiembre y el 31 de marzo.\n\nb) Zenaida macroura: paloma arrocera; Zenaida asiática:\n paloma alablanca, 15 piezas por día en todo el territorio nacional, excepto Áreas\n Protegidas, en el período comprendido entre el 1 de noviembre y el 31 de marzo.\n\nc) Dendrocygma autumnalis: piches alablanca y Anas discor:\n cerceta aliazul, 15 piezas por día en todo el territorio nacional, excepto Áreas\n Protegidas, en el período comprendido entre el 1 de noviembre y el 31 de marzo.\n\nd) Columba flavirostris, Columba subvinacea, Columba cayanensis, Columba speciosa,\n Columba nigrirostris, 15 piezas por día en todo el territorio nacional, excepto Areas\n Protegidas, en el período comprendido entre el 1 de noviembre y el 31 de marzo.\n\nArtículo 10.—Se autoriza la Caza de Aves con\nArma de Fuego de las siguientes especies:\n\na. Paloma collareja (Columba fasciata) durante el período\n comprendido del 1º de setiembre al 31 de enero, con un límite de 15 piezas por día, en\n los siguientes lugares:\n\ni. En fincas privadas en las márgenes de la Carretera Interamericana\n Sur, entre el kilometro 34 hasta el km. 39, entre el km. 41 y el km. 47, entre el km. 52 y\n el km. 55, entre el Km. 57 y el km. 64 (sitio conocido como Madreselva). Unicamente a más\n de 50 mts. del límite de la carretera y fuera de los límites de la Reserva Forestal Los\n Santos y El Parque Nacional Tapantí Macizo de la Muerte. En las zonas no autorizadas\n (entre el kilometro 39 al km. 40, entre el km. 41 al km. 46, entre el km. 52 al km. 54, y\n entre el km. 55 al km. 56) que incluye poblados a la orilla de la carretera solo se\n permitirá la caza en fincas particulares fuera de la Reservas Forestal Los Santos y El\n Parque Nacional Tapantí Macizo de la Muerte en sitios que se ubiquen a 1 km. o más de la\n carretera.\n\nii. En fincas privadas, en ambas márgenes de la carretera entre\n Carrizal de Alajuela y Poasito, a más de 50 metros de los límites de carretera.\n\niii. En fincas privadas en ambas márgenes de las carreteras entre\n Tarbaca y Vuelta de Jorco, a más de 50 mts de los límites de carretera.\n\n \n\nb. Quiscalus mexicanus: zanate; sin límite de piezas, en todo el territorio nacional.\n\nCAPÍTULO IV\n\nCaza menor de aves canoras y de plumaje\n\nArtículo 11.—Es prohibida la caza menor de las\nsiguientes aves canoras, de plumaje, y otras especies silvestres en las Zonas 1, 2, 3 y 4\nen el período que a continuación se indica:\n\nAVES CANORAS\n\na) Solitario carinegro, jilguero, (Myadestes melanops) del 1º\n de agosto al 30 de octubre.\n\nb) Aguío coroniamarillo, monjito (Euphonia luteicapilla) del\n 1º de agosto al 30 de setiembre.\n\nc) Aguío gorgiamarillo (Euphonia hirundinacea) del 1º de\n agosto al 30 setiembre.\n\nd) Euphonia menuda, canaria (Euphonia minuta) del 1º de agosto\n al 30 setiembre.\n\ne) Finito gargantinegra, finito (Euphonia affinis) del 1º de\n agosto al 30 setiembre.\n\nf) Aguío olivaceo, culo rojo (Euphonia gouldi) del 1º de\n agosto al 30 setiembre.\n\ng) Mongito vientrirojo, barranquillo (Euphonia imitans) del 1º\n de agosto al 30 setiembre.\n\nh) Gallito, semillerito cariamarillo (Tiaris olivacea) del 1º\n de agosto al 30 de setiembre.\n\ni) Setillero collarejo (Sporophila torqueola) del 1º de agosto\n al 30 de setiembre.\n\nj) Setillero garganta negra (Sporophila aurita) del 1º de\n agosto al 30 de setiembre.\n\nAVES DE PLUMAJE\n\na) Tangara moteada, zebra (Tangara guttata) del 1º de agosto al\n 30 de setiembre.\n\nb) Tangara dorada, Juanita (Tangara icterocephata) del 1º de\n agosto al 30 de setiembre.\n\nc) Tangara capuchidorada, siete colores, mariposa (Tangara larvata)\n del 1º de agosto al 30 de setiembre.\n\nd) Tangara vientricastaña (Tangara dowii) del 1º de agosto al\n 30 de setiembre.\n\ne) Gorrión común, eléctrico (Passer domesticus) del 1º de\n agosto al 30 de setiembre.\n\nf) Tangara azuleja, viuda (Thraupis episcopus) del 1º de agosto\n al 30 setiembre.\n\nEl límite de piezas a cazar durante el período no vedado será de 2\naves por especie por temporada para cazadores con licencia vigente.\n\nArtículo 12.—Es prohibida la\nexhibición de aves canoras o de plumaje en las ferias del agricultor.\n\nCAPÍTULO V\n\nDe la caza menor y mayor (excepto aves)\n\nArtículo 13.—Se deberá de observar las\nregulaciones de este capítulo para las temporadas de caza, de acuerdo con las zonas\ndeclaradas en los artículos 14, 15, 16 y 17.\n\nArtículo 14.—Zona 1. (Guanacaste).\n\nSe prohibe la caza mayor y menor:\n\na) En el área delimitada por la carretera y comprendida entre las\n siguientes poblaciones: Playa El Coco, Sardinal, San Blas, Paso Tempisque, Filadelfia,\n Belén, Santa Ana, Coyolillo, Portegolpe, Huacas y Brasilito; siguiendo la línea de la\n costa en dirección norte hasta la Playa El Coco.\n\nb) En la zona comprendida entre el punto de las coordenadas 364,500 y\n 315,500 de la Hoja Cartográfica Murciélago Nº 3048-1 sobre la Carretera Interamericana\n Norte, siguiendo por esta carretera hacia la Ciudad de Liberia hasta el Cruce de Camino\n que conduce a la Hacienda La Esperanza, desviándose por esta camino hasta la Finca Bejuco\n pasando por el Sitio Dama, continuando por el camino que conduce a Papagayo hasta el cruce\n a Cabuyal desviándose por este camino hasta Playa Cabuyal, continuando por la costa hasta\n el punto de coordenadas 354,500 y 302; Hoja Cartográfica Ahogados Nº 3048-2, en el Cerro\n Carbonal, limite del Parque Nacional Santa Rosa, continuando por el límite sur de dicho\n parque hasta el sitio inicial en coordenadas 364,500 y 315,500 sobre la Carretera\n Interamericana.\n\nc) En el área comprendida entre los siguientes puntos: De Punta\n Coyote, en coordenadas 193950 N - 396400 E, siguiendo al noreste al camino que inicia en\n Caletas, en coordenadas 193950 N - 397150 E. Se continúa al noreste por ese mismo camino\n hasta San Francisco de Coyote, en coordenadas 198650 N - 399900 E. Se sigue al NE por el\n camino hasta Javillo, en coordenadas 205925 N - 401725 E. Sigue al NW por ese camino hasta\n el cruce que va hacia Quebrada Grande, en coordenadas 207375 N - 396425 E, continúa luego\n al NW por el camino hasta el cruce que va hacia Los Angeles, en coordenadas 209525 N -\n 395675 E, de este cruce se continúa al NW por ese camino hasta el cruce con el camino a\n San Ramón (Río Ora), en coordenadas 213150 N - 393650 E, continúa al NW por el camino a\n San Ramón hasta la intersección que va de Cangrejal a San Ramón en coordenadas 214275 N\n - 389850 E. Sigue al NE por el camino a San Ramón hasta la intersección de este con el\n Río Chiles en coordenadas 214300 N - 389875 E, continúa al SW aguas abajo del Río\n Chiles hasta su confluencia con el Río Ora, en coordenadas 213950 N - 389600 E, continúa\n al SW aguas abajo del Río Ora hasta su desembocadura en coordenadas 205300 N - 376950 E,\n sigue luego al SE por la orilla de la playa hasta el punto inicial en Punta Coyote\n coordenadas 193950 N - 396400 E.\n\nd) En la zona de amortiguamiento del Parque Nacional Barra Honda,\n comprendida en los cerros Caballito y Quebrada Honda, área delimitada por el camino que\n conduce de Quebrada Honda, Caballito y Corralillo hasta encontrar el camino entre Puerto\n Humo y Nicoya, siguiendo por esta ruta hasta el cruce de Santa Ana, continuando por este\n camino pasando por los poblados de Santa Ana y Barra Honda hasta la carretera hacia Puerto\n Moreno, siguiendo hasta el poblado de Quebrada Honda, punto original de partida. Dicha\n área se encuentra ubicada en las hojas cartográficas Talolinga y Matambú, Provincia de\n Guanacaste.\n\nSe autoriza:\n\na) La caza mayor y menor los siguientes días 5, 6, 15, 19 y 20 de\n agosto; 2, 3, 15, 16 y 17 de setiembre; 7, 8, 12, 21 y 22 de octubre y 4, 5, 18, 19 de\n noviembre.\n\nb) La caza de codornices, patos y palomas se regula por lo establecido\n en los artículos 9 y 10 del presente decreto.\n\nArtículo 15.—Zona 2. A partir de este\n punto se sigue el cauce de este río hasta intersectar la carretera Puriscal-Parrita a la\n altura del poblado de Vista de Mar; y de aquí se sigue la Carretera Costanera hasta\n intersectar el Río Pirris, aguas arriba hasta llegar al poblado de Valle Vasconia.\n\nc) En la zona comprendida entre: iniciando en Golfito, siguiendo por la\n carretera que conduce hasta Río Claro, continuando por la Carretera Interamericana Sur\n hasta el puente sobre el Río Térraba, en Palmar Sur, continuando por la margen derecha\n del río hasta la Boca Coronado, de este punto se sigue la por la costa hasta el punto\n original ubicado en Golfito.\n\nd) Un Kilometro en la margen izquierda del Río Virilla en la zona\n comprendida entre el puente sobre el Río Virilla en la autopista General Cañas y el\n Puente de Piedras Negras en la Carretera que comunica Puriscal con Turrúcares de\n Alajuela.\n\ne) La caza de la paloma collareja en las orillas y en la carreteras,\n así como en los 50 metros en ambas márgenes de esas áreas y en el Cerro el Guabal\n ubicado en coordenadas 205.500 latitud Norte y 51.800 longitud oeste, Lambert Norte, Hoja\n Caraigres.\n\nSe autoriza:\n\na) La caza menor y mayor los siguientes días: 5, 6, 15, 19, 20 de\n agosto; 2, 3, 15, 16, 17 de setiembre; 7, 8, 12, 21, 22 de octubre.\n\nb) La caza de codornices, patos y palomas se regulan por lo establecido\n en los artículos 9 y 10 del presente decreto.\n\nArtículo 17.—Zona 4. Therefore,\n\nThey decree:\n\nRegulations for Minor and Major Hunting and Continental and Insular Fishing.\n\nCHAPTER I\n\nProhibitions\n\nArticle 1—Repealed by Article 26 of Executive Decree No. 29148 of November 13, 2000.\n\nArticle 2—During the period from August 1st to December 31st of the year 2000 (both dates inclusive), major and minor hunting of all species with reduced populations or in danger of extinction is prohibited, except as technically provided by the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC).\n\nArticle 3—During the period from August 1st to December 31st of the year 2000 (both dates inclusive), the following is prohibited:\n\na) \"Heating up\" wild birds in cages with traps or catching cages during the unauthorized hunting season.\n\nb) Hunting wild birds with artificial light during the night, as well as capturing birds with adhesives and mist nets.\n\nc) Transporting birds without a permit from SINAC.\n\nd) Hunting songbirds (aves canoras) and plumage birds in the zone comprising one kilometer on both banks of the Virilla River in the area between the bridge over the Virilla River on the General Cañas Highway and the Piedras Negras Bridge on the road connecting Puriscal with Turrúcares de Alajuela.\n\ne) Hunting of all species of resident and migratory wild birds throughout the national territory, with the exception of those indicated in this executive decree.\n\nCHAPTER II\n\nGeneral Provisions on Hunting\n\nArticle 4—Subsistence hunting is authorized for persons of indigenous origin who inhabit Indigenous Reserves in the country, provided they have the respective permit from SINAC.\n\nArticle 5—During the period from August 1st to December 31st of the year 2000 (both dates inclusive), hunting or capture of species that do not appear on the lists of species authorized for hunting is prohibited.\n\nArticle 6—In the case of private properties, hunters must obtain the corresponding permission from the owner, in accordance with the provisions of Article 32 of the Wildlife Conservation Law.\n\nArticle 7—\"Bag limit\" (límite de piezas) is defined as the maximum number of game animals authorized in this decree. The bag limit may be cumulative per hunting day in the case of doves, provided the hunter reports the number of pieces hunted per day to the Rural Assistance Guard (GAR) Delegation or the nearest SINAC office to the hunting zone visited.\n\nArticle 8—The Conservation Areas of the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC) may authorize hunting tournaments, by administrative resolution, only when they involve:\n\na) Tracking of trails prepared for the purposes of the tournament on a specific day; for which the harassment, mistreatment, or killing of wild animals is not authorized.\n\nb) Major and minor hunting activities on hunting estates (fincas cinegéticas) registered with SINAC.\n\nc) Capture of songbirds on authorized hunting dates.\n\nIn these cases, participants must carry and display the corresponding valid hunting license.\n\nHunting tournaments must be supervised by SINAC officials in each Conservation Area.\n\nCHAPTER III\n\nMinor Hunting with Firearms\n\nArticle 9—The following minor game bird species may be hunted with firearms during the open season, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, with a maximum bag limit of:\n\na) *Colinus leucopogon*: common quail; 10 pieces per day throughout the national territory, except Protected Areas, during the period from September 1st to March 31st.\n\nb) *Zenaida macroura*: mourning dove; *Zenaida asiatica*: white-winged dove; 15 pieces per day throughout the national territory, except Protected Areas, during the period from November 1st to March 31st.\n\nc) *Dendrocygma autumnalis*: black-bellied whistling-duck and *Anas discors*: blue-winged teal; 15 pieces per day throughout the national territory, except Protected Areas, during the period from November 1st to March 31st.\n\nd) *Columba flavirostris*, *Columba subvinacea*, *Columba cayanensis*, *Columba speciosa*, *Columba nigrirostris*; 15 pieces per day throughout the national territory, except Protected Areas, during the period from November 1st to March 31st.\n\nArticle 10.—Hunting of Birds with Firearms is authorized for the following species:\n\na. On private properties along the margins of the South Inter-American Highway, between kilometer 34 and km 39, between km 41 and km 47, between km 52 and km 55, between Km 57 and km 64 (site known as Madreselva). Only at more than 50 m from the highway boundary and outside the boundaries of the Los Santos Forest Reserve (Reserva Forestal Los Santos) and the Tapantí-Macizo de la Muerte National Park. In the unauthorized zones (between kilometer 39 and km 40, between km 41 and km 46, between km 52 and km 54, and between km 55 and km 56) which include villages at the edge of the highway, hunting will only be permitted on private properties outside the Los Santos Forest Reserve and the Tapantí-Macizo de la Muerte National Park in sites located 1 km or more from the highway.\n\nii.
