Lo anterior deberá acreditarse por\n    escrito y constar en el expediente respectivo. \n   \n  2º—El plazo otorgado para la sustitución temporal, será de un año\n    calendario contado a partir de la fecha de emisión de la autorización respectiva por\n    parte de las instancias mencionadas.   "body_en_text": "in the entirety of the text\n\n                    -\n\n                        Complete Text of Norm 534\n\n                        Authorizes Temporary Substitution of Vessels Dedicated to Maritime Fishing\nfor Commercial Purposes\n\nComplete Text of record: B6D88\nAJDIP/534\n\n(By means of\n  article 11 of Agreement AJDIP 109 of March 4, 2005, this agreement was rendered\n  without effect and was subsequently repealed again by means of Agreement No. AJDIP/\n  569 of December 14, 2007).\n\n  AJDIP/534.—Puntarenas,\n    on the fifth day of the month of December of the year two thousand three\n\n  \n\n  Considering:\n\n  \n\n  1º—That by means of agreement MDIP/132-99 of April 21, 1999, published in\n    La Gaceta No. 104 of May 31, 1999, article one, it was decided not to grant\n    temporary substitution of vessels for commercial purposes.\n  \n  2º—That in response to various circumstances and reasons, different\n    organizations and fishers have expressed the interest and the need for the temporary\n    substitution of vessels for commercial purposes to be permitted, in response to duly\n    demonstrated reasons that in the majority of cases are due to situations of an\n    exceptional nature.\n\n  \n\n  Therefore:\n\n  IT\n    IS AGREED:\n\n  1º—The Administration of the Institute, through the Head of the Department of\n    Protection and Registry and the Regional Directors and Chiefs, may authorize the\n    temporary substitution of vessels dedicated to maritime fishing for commercial\n    purposes, in exceptional and duly demonstrated cases before said bodies in\n    such a way that it is verified and proven that the vessel is indeed not in\n    condition to carry out the fishing activity. The foregoing must be accredited in\n    writing and recorded in the respective file. \n  \n  2º—The term granted for the temporary substitution shall be one calendar\n    year counted from the date of issuance of the respective authorization by\n    the aforementioned bodies. Once the indicated term has expired, the\n    temporary substitution permit shall expire by operation of law and under no circumstance may it be\n    revalidated. \n  \n  3º—The temporary substitution shall be governed by the same terms and\n    conditions regarding the fulfillment of requirements and procedure, as established in\n    agreement AJDIP/238-2002.\n  \n  4º—The cost of the temporary substitution permit shall be the same as that\n    established for the commercial fishing license held by the vessel subject to the\n    temporary substitution.\n  \n  5º—Article No. 1 of agreement AJDIP/132-99, published in La\n    Gaceta No. 104 of May 31, 1999, is repealed.\n  Let it be published."
