  "body_en_text": "in the entirety of the text\n\n-\n\nComplete Text of Norm 318\n\nRepeals the agreement that permits the Importation of Vessels for commercial fishing activities\n\nComplete Text of acta: 9F005\nAJDIP/318-2006\n\nAJDIP/318-2006.—Puntarenas, on the twenty-eighth day of the month of July of 2006.\n\nWhereas:\n\n1º—That in accordance with Law No. 7384, it is within the competence of the Instituto Costarricense de Pesca y Acuicultura to regulate the use of fishery resources, as well as to regulate the pertinent aspects regarding the granting of fishing and aquaculture permits and licenses, vessel characteristics, catches, and other pertinent aspects regarding the exercise of fishing activity.\n\n2º—That the Board of Directors adopted agreement number AJDIP/183-2002, dated June 28, 2002, Board of Directors acta number AJDI/22-2002, in which it was determined that the replacement of vessels with an overall length (eslora) measurement greater than or equal to 65 feet is permitted.\n\n3º—That regarding vessel replacement, it must be considered that each type of fishery requires different considerations that take into account the effect of fishing effort (esfuerzo pesquero), fishing capacity (capacidad de pesca), and resource availability.
