  "body_en_text": "in the entirety of the text\n\n                    -\n\n                        Complete Text of Regulation 34437\n\n                        Reform to the Composition of the National Commission for Biodiversity Management\n\nComplete Text of record: CDA37\nNo. 34437\n\nNo. 34437\n\n \n\n \n\n(This Decree was repealed\nby article 3, point 5 of executive decree No. 35786 of January 22,\n2010)\n\n \n\n \n\nTHE PRESIDENT OF\nTHE REPUBLIC\n\nAND THE MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY\n\n \n\n \n\nIn exercise of the powers conferred upon them by\narticles 140, subsections 3) and 18), and 146 of the Political Constitution, and the Biodiversity\nLaw No. 7788 of April 30, 1998.\n\n \n\n \n\nWhereas:\n\n \n\n \n\nI.—That the Biodiversity Law No. 7788 of April 30,\n1998, created the National Commission for Biodiversity Management as a deconcentrated body of the Ministry of Environment and Energy with instrumental legal personality.\n\nII.—That\nthe aforementioned Law assigns to this Commission functions relating to the conservation,\necologically sustainable use, and restoration of biodiversity, which are of\nvital importance for the sustainable development of the country.\n\nIII.—That\narticle 15 of the Biodiversity Law establishes the manner in which\nthe Commission shall be composed, authorizing the extension of the appointments made\nby the entities and organizations that are members of the deconcentrated body.\n\nIV.—That\nthe appointment of Mrs. Fanny Levin Picado, representative of the Minister\nof Health before the Commission, expired on the ninth of August, 2007; however,\nsaid Mrs. Levin Picado has continued in her functions as a full member from\nthe tenth of August, 2007, to the present, which is why the extension of\nher appointment is effective as of the tenth of August, 2007.
