Estas actividades\ntendrán lugar entre el 16 y 20 de febrero del año 2009.\n\n2°-Que el mencionado Simposio, será de gran\nimportancia, ya que los temas que se abordarán son asuntos que afectan las\ncondiciones de vida de los costarricenses: la calidad del agua, del aire y del\nsuelo. La aparición de contaminantes emergentes, como son residuos de\nantibióticos, hormonas, plaguicidas y sus metabólicos, la presencia de metales\ntraza con propiedades cancerígenas, la evaluación del riesgo de la exposición a\nsustancias químicas por medio de biosensores, entre otras.\n\n3°-Que el objetivo general es propiciar un\nespacio de encuentro e intercambio de experiencias y conocimientos entre\nacadémicos e investigadores comprometidos con el cuidado, evaluación y\ndesarrollo sostenible del medio ambiente, ya que estos nos brindarán una visión\nactualizada de la problemática microbiológica, toxicología y química actual,\npor medio de conferencias, talleres, etc.\n\n4°-Que de conformidad con el artículo 8 de la\nLey de Promoción del Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico, N° 7169, todas las\nactividades científicas y tecnológicas sin fines de lucro, realizadas por las\nentidades que forman parte del Sistema Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, son de\ninterés público.   "body_en_text": "in the entirety of the text\n\n-\n\nComplete Text of Norm 34497\n\nDeclares of public interest the \"8th Latin American Symposium on Analytical Environmental and Sanitary Chemistry\"\n\nComplete Text record: BA318\n\nNº 34497\n\nTHE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC\n\nAND THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY\n\nIn exercise of the powers conferred by subsections 3) and 18) of article 140 and 146 of the Political Constitution, the Law for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development, N° 7169 of June 26, 1990, published in La Gaceta N° 144 of August 1, 1990, article 27 of the General Law of Public Administration, N° 6227 of May 2, 1978, and\n\nConsidering:\n\n1º—That the Electrochemistry and Chemical Energy Center, CELEQ, and the Microbiology Faculty of the University of Costa Rica, the Technological Institute of Costa Rica, and the Network for Environmental Quality Analysis in Latin America, (RACAL), are organizing the \"8th Latin American Symposium on Analytical Environmental and Sanitary Chemistry\"; prior to the Symposium, the 4th Workshop on Environmental Microbiology and two Additional Workshops, one on environmental sampling and the other on current topics in the evaluation of chemical contaminants in the environment, will take place. These activities will be held between February 16 and 20, 2009.\n\n2°—That the aforementioned Symposium will be of great importance, since the topics to be addressed are matters that affect the living conditions of Costa Ricans: the quality of water, air, and soil. The emergence of emerging contaminants, such as antibiotic residues, hormones, pesticides and their metabolites, the presence of trace metals with carcinogenic properties, the risk assessment of exposure to chemical substances through biosensors, among others.\n\n3°—That the general objective is to provide a space for gathering and exchanging experiences and knowledge among academics and researchers committed to the care, evaluation, and sustainable development of the environment, as these will provide an updated vision of current microbiological, toxicological, and chemical issues, through conferences, workshops, etc.\n\n4°—That in accordance with article 8 of the Law for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development, N° 7169, all non-profit scientific and technological activities carried out by the entities that are part of the National Science and Technology System are of public interest.
