  "body_en_text": "THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC\n\nAND THE MINISTER OF HEALTH\n\nUsing the powers vested in them by Articles 140, subsections 3) and 18), and 146 of the Political Constitution; Article 28, subsection 2 b) of Law No. 6227 of May 2, 1978, \"Ley General de la Administración Pública\"; and Articles 1 and 2 of Law No. 5395 of October 30, 1973, \"Ley General de Salud.\"\n\nConsidering:\n\n1º-That from June 4 to 6, 2008, the Asociación Costarricense de Salud Pública (ACOSAP) will hold the XI National Public Health Congress \"Social and Environmental Determinants of Health.\"\n\n2º-That the XI National Public Health Congress \"Social and Environmental Determinants of Health\" aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of personnel in the identification and treatment of health determinants in the social, economic, and environmental fields.\n\n3º-That the activities to be carried out during the Congress are considered of national importance in the field of Health, given that their purpose is to provide training and service to health personnel.\n\n4º-That MSc. Merceditas Lizano Vega and Ing. Federico Paredes Valverde, President of the Board of Directors of ACOSAP and General Coordinator of the XI National Public Health Congress, respectively, have requested the Ministry of Health to declare the XI National Public Health Congress \"Social and Environmental Determinants of Health\" a matter of public and national interest.\n\n5º-That the activities of the XI National Public Health Congress \"Social and Environmental Determinants of Health\" will be held in our country at the facilities of the Hotel Corobicí from June 4 to 6, 2008.
