ARTÍCULO TERCERO: (...) a) Construir un acueducto en Santiago de Paraíso\ny dar servicio de agua potable a la comunidad de Santiago de Paraíso; b)\nAdministrar, operar y conservar en buenas condiciones el acueducto de acuerdo a\nlas disposiciones y reglamentos que al respecto emita Acueductos y\nAlcantarillados; c) Obtener la participación efectiva de la comunidad en la\nconstrucción y mantenimiento del acueducto; d) Colaboración en los programas y\ncampañas de índole educativas que se emprendan; e) Ayudar a explicar y divulgar\nen la comunidad las disposiciones y Reglamentos de Acueductos y\nAlcantarillados; f) Cooperar con los planes, proyectos y obras que emprenda\nAcueductos y Alcantarillados en la comunidad; g) Participar en la vigilancia y\nprotección de las fuentes de abastecimiento del acueducto, evitar las\ncontaminaciones de las mismas y ayudar a la protección de las cuencas\nhidrográficas de la región\".\n\nIV.-Que\ntales fines solventan una necesidad social de primer orden, por lo cual merecen\nel apoyo del Estado Costarricense.
