nueve.\n\n \n\nConsiderando:\n\n \n\nI.-Que el Proyecto \"Programa\nConsolidación del Corredor Biológico Mesoamericano\" a su término, ha\ndesarrollado y consolidado un Plan Estratégico y de implementación por parte de\nlos Gobiernos, para la consolidación a largo plazo del Corredor Biológico\nMesoamericano, tanto a nivel regional como de cada uno de los países de la\nregión. Éste a su vez, sugirió a cada Ministerio de Ambiente, la elaboración de\nuna propuesta de Programa Nacional de Corredor Biológico.\n\nII.-Que mediante\nDecreto Ejecutivo Nº 33106-MINAE, publicado en\nLa Gaceta Nº 103, del\ndía 30 de mayo de 2006 se crea el Programa Nacional de Corredores Biológicos:\nuna Estrategia de Conservación de\nla Biodiversidad; el cual contará con un Plan\nEstratégico de largo plazo. Se implementará a través del Sistema Nacional de Áreas\nde Conservación (SINAC), el cual deberá otorgar sostenibilidad al Programa,\nincluyendo las actuaciones de éste en sus planes de acción y en su estructura\nfuncional, administrativa y financiera.\n\nmargin-right:.75pt;\nmargin-bottom:5.0pt;margin-left:.75pt;text-indent:24.0pt'>III.-Que mediante\nDecreto Ejecutivo Nº 34433-MINAE, publicado en\nLa Gaceta Nº 68, del\ndía 8 de abril del 2008, se establece en el artículo 3 inciso b), la definición\nde corredor biológico de manera oficial por primera vez para Costa Rica.\n\nIV.-Que el artículo\n22 de la Ley de\nBiodiversidad Nº 7788, publicada en\nLa Gaceta Nº 101, del 27 de mayo de 1998\nestablece al Sistema Nacional de Áreas de Conservación, como una institución\ndesconcentrada y participativa, con personería jurídica instrumental, que\nintegra las competencias en materia forestal, vida silvestre y áreas silvestres\nprotegidas, protección y conservación del uso de cuencas hidrográficas y\nsistemas hídricos, del Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía (MINAE)(*), con el fin\nde dictar políticas, planificar y ejecutar procesos dirigidos a lograr la\nsostenibilidad en el manejo de los recursos naturales de Costa Rica.\n\n(*)(Así modificada su denominación por el artículo 11 de la Ley\n\"Traslado del sector Telecomunicaciones del Ministerio de Ambiente,\nEnergía y Telecomunicaciones al Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología, N° 9046 del\n25 de junio de 2012)\n\nV.-Que de\nconformidad al artículo 12 inciso q) del Reglamento a\nla Ley de Biodiversidad, Decreto\nEjecutivo Nº 34433-MINAE publicado en\nLa Gaceta Nº 68 del 08 de abril de 2008, el\nConsejo Nacional de Áreas de Conservación (CONAC), mediante acuerdo Nº 9 de\nla Sesión Ordinaria\nNº 002 - 2009 celebrada el día 23 de febrero de 2009 aprobó la celebración de\nla presente resolución, así como la delegación de su firma para su ejecución en\nel Director Ejecutivo, quien de conformidad al artículo 19 del reglamento\nindicado ostenta la representación legal del SINAC. This in turn, suggested to each Ministry of Environment, the preparation\nof a proposal for a National Biological Corridor Program.\n\nII.-That by means of\nDecreto Ejecutivo Nº 33106-MINAE, published in\nLa Gaceta Nº 103, of\nthe 30th day of May, 2006, the National Program of Biological Corridors:\na Biodiversity Conservation\nStrategy is created; which shall have a long-term\nStrategic Plan.
