El objetivo del\nproyecto consiste en mejorar las capacidades para conservar la biodiversidad y la\nprovisión de sus servicios ecosistémicos en los corredores biológicos de Costa\nRica. \n\n3. El Gobierno de la\nRepública Federal de Alemania facilitará recursos humanos y realizará\nprestaciones materiales y, si procede, aportaciones financieras para el proyecto\nmencionado en el párrafo 1 por un valor total de hasta 6.000.000 de\neuros. \n\nEl Gobierno de la\nRepública Federal de Alemania confiará la ejecución del presente proyecto a la\nDeutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. \n\n4. Por parte del\nGobierno de la República de Costa Rica serán responsables de la ejecución del\nproyecto el Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía y el Sistema Nacional de Áreas de\nConservación. \n\n5. Los detalles del proyecto\ny de las prestaciones y obligaciones respectivas se fijarán en convenios de\nejecución y, si procede, de financiación individuales, que habrán de ser\nconcertados entre la organización ejecutora mencionada en el párrafo 3 y las\ninstituciones del Gobierno de la República de Costa Rica mencionadas en el\npárrafo 4 de ese documento. Dichos contratos de ejecución y, si procede, de\nfinanciación estarán sujetos a las disposiciones legales vigentes en la\nRepública Federal de Alemania. \n\n6. El compromiso del\nGobierno de la República Federal de Alemania para el proyecto quedará sin\nefecto si los contratos de ejecución y, si procede, de financiación mencionados\nen el párrafo 5 no se conciertan hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2017. \n\n7. El Gobierno de la\nRepública de Costa Rica eximirá a los materiales, vehículos, bienes y equipos,\nasí como a los respectivos repuestos, suministrados para el proyecto\nespecificado en el párrafo 1 de todos los derechos de importación y exportación\ny demás gravámenes públicos, incluso tasas portuarias. \n\n8. Por lo demás se\naplicarán también al presente Acuerdo las disposiciones del arriba mencionado\nConvenio del 23 de julio de 1965, modificado por el Protocolo de Enmienda del\n18 de diciembre de 2006. \n\n9. The objective of the\nproject is to improve capacities to conserve biodiversity and the\nprovision of its ecosystem services in the biological corridors of Costa\nRica.\n\n3. The Government of the\nFederal Republic of Germany will provide human resources and furnish\nmaterial contributions and, where appropriate, financial contributions for the project\nmentioned in paragraph 1 for a total value of up to 6,000,000\neuros.\n\nThe Government of the\nFederal Republic of Germany will entrust the execution of this project to the\nDeutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.\n\n4. On the part of the\nGovernment of the Republic of Costa Rica, the Ministry of Environment and Energy and the National System of Conservation Areas will be responsible for the execution of the\nproject.\n\n5. The details of the project\nand the respective contributions and obligations shall be set out in individual\nimplementing agreements and, where appropriate, financing agreements, which shall be\nconcluded between the executing organization mentioned in paragraph 3 and the\ninstitutions of the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica mentioned in\nparagraph 4 of this document. Said implementing contracts and, where appropriate,\nfinancing contracts shall be subject to the legal provisions in force in the\nFederal Republic of Germany.\n\n6. The commitment of the\nGovernment of the Federal Republic of Germany for the project shall become\nvoid if the implementing and, where appropriate, financing contracts mentioned\nin paragraph 5 are not concluded by December 31, 2017.\n\n7. The Government of the\nRepublic of Costa Rica shall exempt the materials, vehicles, goods, and equipment,\nas well as the respective spare parts, supplied for the project\nspecified in paragraph 1 from all import and export duties\nand other public charges, including port fees.\n\n8. In all other respects,\nthe provisions of the aforementioned Convention of July 23, 1965,\namended by the Protocol of Amendment of December 18, 2006, shall also apply\nto this Agreement.\n\n9. This\nAgreement is concluded in German and Spanish, both texts being equally\nauthentic.\n\nShould the\nGovernment of the Republic of Costa Rica declare its agreement with the proposals\ncontained in paragraphs 1 to 9, this Note and the Note in reply from Your\nExcellency expressing your Government's agreement shall constitute an\nAgreement between our Governments, which shall enter into force on the day the Government\nof the Republic of Costa Rica has communicated to the Government of the\nFederal Republic of Germany through the diplomatic channel the fulfillment of the necessary internal\nrequirements for the entry into force of the Exchange of Notes.
