Miembros de Junta Directiva, para\nanálisis, revisión y aprobación, el oficio DGT- 031-2015, mediante el cual el\nSr. Antonio Porras Porras, Director General Técnico,\nremite propuesta de veda en el Golfo de Nicoya, adoptada por la Comisión\nNacional de Veda, según lo acordado en reunión 02-2015, misma que se establece\nde la siguiente manera:\n\n1. Establecer una veda total en el área comprendida por una línea recta\nimaginaria que va desde Punta Torres conocida como Peñón (84°43´52\" Longitud\nOeste, 09°53¨31\"Latinud Norte) al Faro de la Isla Negritos afuera (84°49´35\"\nLongitud Oeste, 09°49´14\" Latitud Norte) y desde ahí hasta la parte este de\nPunta Cuchillo en la Península de Nicoya, de estas líneas aguas adentro hasta\nla desembocadura del río Tempisque. Esta prohibición de pesca va desde el 15 de\nmayo hasta el 14 de agosto del 2015, ambas fechas incluidas.\n\n2. Autorizar la realización de torneos de pesca deportiva y turística en\nel área de veda, que cuenten con la autorización de la Junta Directiva del\nINCOPESCA.\n\n2º-Que por su parte, los Sres. Directores estiman que si bien es cierto\nel proceso seguido para la elaboración de ésta recomendación ha contado con la\nparticipación de los sectores, lo cual refuerza el establecimiento de la veda\nen el Golfo de Nicoya, dentro del pico más alto de reproducción de las\nespecies, también lo es el interés de establecer una diferenciación en cuanto\nal desarrollo de la actividad de pesca comercial con relación a la pesca\ndeportiva-turística, además de la necesidad de garantizar sardina para carnada.\n\n3º-Que bajo ese giro, la Junta Directiva avala la propuesta remitida por\nel Director General Técnico, como resultado de lo acordado por la Comisión\nNacional de Veda, adicionándole la autorización para el desarrollo de\nactividades de pesca deportiva y turística, así como la captura de sardina\núnicamente con fines de carnada para el sector pesquero, razón por la cual, la\nJunta Directiva. Por tanto,\n\nACUERDA:\n\n1º-Establecer una veda total en el área comprendida por una línea recta\nimaginaria que va desde Punta Torres conocida como Peñón (84°43´52\" Longitud\nOeste, 09°53¨31\"Latinud Norte) al Faro de la Isla Negritos afuera (84°49´35\"\nLongitud Oeste, 09°49´14\" Latitud Norte) y desde ahí hasta la parte este de\nPunta Cuchillo en la Península de Nicoya, de estas líneas aguas adentro hasta\nla desembocadura del río Tempisque.   "body_en_text": "IN THE FULL TEXT\n\n-\n\nComplete Text of Regulation 185\n\nEstablishes a total closure area comprised by an imaginary straight line that runs\nfrom Punta Torres known as Peñón to the Lighthouse of Isla Negritos offshore and to the eastern part of\nPunta Cuchillo on the Nicoya Peninsula and a closure for Semi-industrial shrimp fishing\n\nComplete Text of Record: 10433C\n\nCOSTA RICAN INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES\n\nAND AQUACULTURE\n\nAJDIP/185-2015.-Puntarenas, on the twenty-fourth day of April,\ntwo thousand fifteen.\n\nConsidering:\n\n1º-The matter is submitted for consideration by the Members of the Board of Directors, for\nanalysis, review, and approval, of official communication DGT-031-2015, through which\nMr. Antonio Porras Porras, Technical Director General,\nforwards a closure proposal for the Gulf of Nicoya, adopted by the National Closures Commission,\nas agreed upon in meeting 02-2015, which is established\nas follows:\n\n1. Establish a total closure in the area comprised by an imaginary straight\nline that runs from Punta Torres known as Peñón (84°43'52\" West\nLongitude, 09°53'31\" North Latitude) to the Lighthouse of Isla Negritos offshore (84°49'35\"\nWest Longitude, 09°49'14\" North Latitude) and from there to the eastern part of\nPunta Cuchillo on the Nicoya Peninsula, from these lines inshore\nto the mouth of the Tempisque River. This fishing prohibition runs from May\n15 to August 14, 2015, both dates inclusive.\n\n2. Likewise, a closure is established for Semi-industrial shrimp\ntrawling and sardine purse-seine (cerco) fishing, in the area comprised\nby an imaginary line that runs from the mouth of the Agujas River\n(84°39'15\" West Longitude, 09°43'20\" North Latitude) to the Lighthouse of Isla Negritos\noffshore (84°49'35\" West Longitude, 09°49'14\" North Latitude) and from there to the\neastern part of Punta Cuchillo on the Nicoya Peninsula and from these lines\ninshore to the mouth of the Tempisque River; from May 15 to\nSeptember 14, 2015, both dates inclusive.\n\n3. Authorize the practice of sport fishing activity in the closed\nzone, from the shore, using rod, reel, and hand line.\n\n4. Authorize the holding of sport and tourist fishing tournaments in\nthe closure area, provided they have the authorization of the INCOPESCA Board of Directors.\n\n2º-That for their part, the Directors deem that while it is true\nthe process followed for the preparation of this recommendation has included the\nparticipation of the sectors, which reinforces the establishment of the closure\nin the Gulf of Nicoya, within the highest reproductive peak of the\nspecies, there is also an interest in establishing a differentiation regarding\nthe conduct of commercial fishing activity in relation to sport-tourist\nfishing, in addition to the need to guarantee sardine for bait.\n\n3º-That accordingly, the Board of Directors endorses the proposal forwarded by\nthe Technical Director General, as a result of what was agreed by the National Closures Commission,\nadding to it the authorization for the development of\nsport and tourist fishing activities, as well as the capture of sardine\nsolely for bait purposes for the fishing sector, for which reason the\nBoard of Directors. Therefore,\n\nAGREES:\n\n1º-Establish a total closure in the area comprised by an imaginary straight\nline that runs from Punta Torres known as Peñón (84°43'52\" West\nLongitude, 09°53'31\" North Latitude) to the Lighthouse of Isla Negritos offshore (84°49'35\"\nWest Longitude, 09°49'14\" North Latitude) and from there to the eastern part of\nPunta Cuchillo on the Nicoya Peninsula, from these lines inshore\nto the mouth of the Tempisque River.
