existencia del Parque\nRecreativo Nacional Playas de Manuel Antonio, hoy Parque Nacional Manuel\nAntonio, ampliado mediante Decreto Ejecutivo Nº 11148-A del 05 de febrero de\n1980.\n\nII.-Que\nmediante Decreto Ejecutivo Nº 22482-MIRENEM, publicado en La Gaceta N°\n173 del 09 de setiembre de 1993, se oficializa el Reglamento de Uso Público\npara el Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio.\n\nIII.-Que\nel Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio por sus especiales características en cuanto\na la biodiversidad y belleza escénica, es un lugar de gran atractivo turístico\npara los visitantes residentes y no residentes del país.\n\nIV.-Que\nel Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio ha experimentado en los últimos años, un\naumento creciente del número de visitantes, lo cual ha provocado diversas\nformas de impacto ambiental sobre los recursos que se protegen en dicha área.\nEsto hace necesario qué se tomen medidas que para evitar que exista una presión\nexcesiva sobre los recursos naturales del área silvestre protegida y al mismo\ntiempo se dé un aprovechamiento sustentable de los servicios ecosistémicos\nbrindados por éste; debiendo el Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía establecer\nmecanismos para el equilibrio sano entre la visitación y la conservación de los\nrecursos del Parque.\n\nV.-Que\nel flujo de visitación para el Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio está regulado This makes it necessary to take measures to prevent excessive pressure on the natural resources of the protected wild area and at the same time to allow sustainable use of the ecosystem services provided by it; the Ministry of Environment and Energy must establish mechanisms for a healthy balance between visitation and the conservation of the Park's resources.\n\nV.-That the flow of visitation to Manuel Antonio National Park is regulated in section 3 of Decreto Ejecutivo No. 22482-MIRENEM for the days from Tuesday to Sunday, due to the same conservation needs of the protected wild area; an aspect that makes it necessary for the visitation schedule to conform to such regulation.\n\nVI.-That it is necessary for the restoration, recovery and rehabilitation of the ecosystems of Manuel Antonio National Park to close at least one day a week as a preventive measure for the conservation of the natural resources that determined the creation of the protected wild area.
