The tourism, ecological, and cultural development of the canton of Coto Brus is declared to be of public interest,\nfor which purpose the State, through its public institutions, may promote\nthe development and promotion of infrastructure and investments in tourism\nin the area, under a sustainable development framework and proper environmental\nmanagement that strengthen the social and economic condition of the canton.\n\nARTICLE\n2- Institutional support\n\nThe\nState shall support all local development initiatives and the activities of\nthe micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises of the inhabitants of the canton, linked\nto tourism development, seeking to maintain, protect, and enhance the\ncultural heritage and assets.\n\nIt shall take effect upon its publication.\n\nGiven at the Presidency of the Republic, San José, on the twenty-fifth day\nof the month of October of the year two thousand twenty-one.\n\nLET IT BE EXECUTED AND\nPUBLISHED."
