Con este decreto, el Poder Ejecutivo completa el proceso constitucional de ratificación y ordena el depósito del instrumento correspondiente ante el gobierno de Estados Unidos, como depositario del tratado. Costa Rica se convierte así en parte del sistema del Tratado Antártico, adquiriendo los derechos y obligaciones como Parte Consultiva o No Consultiva según corresponda, y se compromete a respetar los principios de cooperación internacional, protección ambiental y desmilitarización en el continente antártico.",

  "body_en_text": "in the entirety of the text\n\n                    -\n\n                        Full Text of Norm 43614\n\n                        Ratification by the Republic of Costa Rica of the Accession to the Antarctic\nTreaty, done at Washington\n\nNo. 43614-RREE\n\nTHE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC\n\nAND THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN\n\nAFFAIRS AND WORSHIP\n\nConsidering:\n\n1º-That the Legislative Assembly, through\nLaw number 10266 of the sixth day of May of 2022, published in Supplement 105 of\nDigital Gazette number 96 of 25 May 2022, approved the Approval of the\nAccession to the Antarctic Treaty, done at Washington, on the first day of the month\nof December of 1959.\n\n2º-That the instruments of ratification and\naccession to the Treaty shall be deposited with the Government of the United States of\nAmerica, pursuant to its Article 18, paragraph 2, of the aforementioned Convention. Therefore;\n\nIn exercise of the\npowers conferred upon them by subsections 10 and 12 of Article 140 and Article\n146 of the Political Constitution of the Republic of Costa Rica.\n\nThey decree:\n\nArticle 1º-The ratification by the\nRepublic of Costa Rica of the Approval of the Accession to the Antarctic Treaty,\ndone at Washington, on the first day of the month of December of 1959.\n\nArticle 2º-It shall enter into force from this date.\n\nExecuted at the\nPresidency of the Republic, on the thirty-first day of the month of May of two\nthousand twenty-two."
